New Album Alert! ‘Electro Swing For the Masses’ on sale MAY 11TH!

Carey Rayburn, trumpet player for Abney Park, is releasing his first ever solo album! “Electro Swing For the Masses” will be released on May 11th, 2012. Electro Swing is the bees knees as far as cool new musical genres go. It is taking old, swing-era sounds and infusing it into modern day dance music. It’ll make for a toes-tappin, good time as far as I’m concerned! All of Abney Park is on this album too!

I wrote this song at 16. I really like it still. It’s a haunting melody.

My feet are getting cold

My eyes can’t stop, my visions locked

On shadows my room holds

The breath escapes my lips like steaming water from a pot

The figures made they help me,

They’re the only friends I’ve got

The time that passes by me as I drape across my bed

A new way to eat pancakes.

WAAAYYY healthier than your Grandmother’s pancakes, with even BETTER flavor and texture! And it’s packed with protein too!

Cottage Cheese Cakes:

(serves 4 people)

8 eggs (can substitute for egg whites)

1/2 of a regular sized carton of cottage cheese (low fat if you are watching your diet)

3/4 c. flour (wheat or white)

Mix ingredients. Get frying pan hot on MEDIUM heat. Use a 1/4 measuring cup and pour cups of batter onto the pan. Wait a couple minutes, flip the pancakes, wait a few more minutes… WA LA! DONE. Simple huh?

***I like to eat eith light syrup, butter, and a bit of peanut butter.
